  • Shylock visits Antonio in jail and they argue but he refuses to drop the bond even though Antonio is desperately begging for him to save his life . However , he ends up giving up due to realising that it's hopeless and that he's partially to blame for it .
  • 1)' I'll have my bond , speak not against my bond ; I have sworn an oath that I will have my bond '
    • Noun ' oath ' - he's following the law and doing what he believes is right due to being loyal to his bond which he rightfully deserves
    • He's not evil since he's sticking to the rules .
  • 2)' But since I am a dog , beware my fangs '
    • Antonio's fault to why he's attacking him - acted like he's inhuman so now he's acting like it
    • Noun ' fangs ' - using what he naturally has ( urge to revenge ) to his advantage to defend himself - it's fair and automatically seen as aggressive due to Jewish people being inferior to Christians and expected to do whatever they desire .
