Secularisation from Within

• Bruce: the way American Religion has adjusted to the modern world amounts to secularisation from within. Emphasis on glorifying God has decline. Religion has instead become 'psychologised' (turned into a form of therapy) - enabling it to fit into secular society. American religion has remained popular by becoming less religious.
