when asked to match a face from a number of other faces, the picture presented to the leftvisual field was consistently selected correctly, whilst the image presented to the right visual field was ignored
this shows that the right hemisphere seems dominant in face recognition
images presented as composites of the two faces led to the left hemisphere dominating when the patient was asked to verbally describe the face (right-hand 'half' of the face was described, the left-hand was ignored)
