Drumlin

Cards (6)

  • Drumlins are elongated hills.
  • They are made up of glacial deposits/till/boulder clay.
  • They are unsorted
  • Drumlins are formed when the glacier moves over a large rock that it cannot erode. The glacier carries lots of rocks and they get trapped behind the large rock as the ice flows over it.
  • The rocks build up and as the glacier moves over, it smooths it out.
  • Drumlins are often found in swarms.
