  • Centre Bit - Drills a pilot hole in the face of the metal bar creating a bit for the drill bit to catch onto
  • Step turning - Reduces the dieter of the bar
  • Facing off - Smooths the end of the bar
  • Taper turning - Cuts metal away at a angle
  • Knarling - Imprints a texture onto the metal, generally used for grip
  • Drilling - Drills hole into face of the metal
  • Parting off - removes the component from waste metal
  • Parallel turning - Reduces diameter of the bar
