Reflected waves

• Reflected waves occur when a wave bounces from a surface back toward its source
• One example of a reflected wave is water waves hitting the shore/coast.

  • The waves go up and reflect back
• One example is mirrors.

  • Seeing a reflected image
• One example is light reflecting off a surface

  • Produces color
• One example is an echo

  • The flatter the surface the better the echo
