Resonance
is the tendency of a system to
vibrate
at maximum
amplitude
at certain
frequencies
The wave and the object have to be at the
natural frequency
of the object for the object to
vibrate.
Multiple systems can
vibrate
at the same frequency
Resonance causes a
larger
amplitude
and
intensity
of the wave.
e.g. Instruments use
resonance
to sound louder
e.g.
MRI
machines use resonance to make images
