Types of Irony

• Irony:


  literature technique that involves the differences between appearance and reality, expectation and result, or meaning and intention.
• Dramatic Irony:


  When the audience knows something that the character does not.
• Verbal Irony:


  When someone says one thing but really mean the opposite.
• Situational Irony:


  When something happens that is the opposite of what was expected.
