Acceleration: The rate at which an object's velocity changes
Dynamics: Concerned with the study of forces (linear) and torques (rotational) and their effect on motion.
Linear motion: Straight line motion when an object moves from one place to another.
Velocity: The rate at which an object changes its position
Kinematics: The geometry of motion in terms of two elementary concepts, position and time. Kinematics considers the motion of a body quite apart from the forces either causing the motion or which may be produced as a result of motion.
Kinetics: Relates to motion to the forces that cause movement or result from movement.
Rectilinear: Motion in a straight line
Curvilinear: Motion in a curved path
Rotary: Curvilinear motion about a fixed axis
Oscillatory: Repeated motion in which an object repeats the same movement over and over.
Reciprocal motion: Motion that is moving backwards and forwards in straight line.
