• What does evaporation create for the plant?

  a slight shortage of water in the leaf, and so more water is drawn up from the rest of the plant through the xylem vessels to replace it.
• What does more water drawing from the roots lead to?

  a constant transpiration stream of water through the plant.
• Is there more water INSIDE or OUTSIDE the plant than the air outside?


  Inside. The water escapes from the leaves through the stomata by diffusion.
