  • Commode: is a portable toilet, for its toilet bowl is removable for easy cleaning. Made of lightweight metal and plastic chair. Used by a client with limited mobility.
  • Bedpans - are used for elimination by bed-confined patients.
  • 2 TYPES OF BEDPANS
    • Regular – larger than the fracture,
    • Fracture – has a flat end for easy use, this is for patients with hip or lower extremity fractures.
  • Urinals - are shaped like a bottle, usually made of hardened plastic, a portable urinal that can hold at an average of 1L urine, designed for males and females. Used for a bed-confined patient, or a client with incontinence.
