Force
is a physical concept that describes the interaction between two objects that can change the motion of one or both of them.
Force
is a push & pull that can cause an object to move, stop, or change direction.
Types of force:
Contact
Force
&
Non-contact
force
Friction is a force that happens when two surfaces rub against each other.
It‘s like a sticky force that can make things harder to move smoothly.
Friction
Resistance
is a force that happens when something tries to slow down or stop another thing from moving.
Tension
force
is a type of force that happens when an object is pulle in opposite directions by two forces.
Applied
force
is when one object pushes or pulls on another object.
It happens when you use your muscles to push or pull an object in a certain direction.
Applied force
Gravity
is a force that pulls objects towards each other.
It is what keeps us on the ground and what makes things fall down.
Gravity
Magnetic
force
is a type of non-contact force that acts between magnets or magnetic objects.
Electrostatic
is the force between two objects that have an electric charge.
Force classified into:
Balanced
forces &
Unbalanced
forces
Balanced
forces
are two equal forces acting on an object in opposite directions.
When the force is
balanced,
the object either stays at rest or continues to move at the same speed and at the same directions.
Balanced forces
is present in hanging, floating, standing, or sitting objects.
Unbalanced forces
are two unequal forces acting on an objects.
Unbalanced
forces
also make the object speed up, slow down, change direction, remain in place, or change in shape.
As soon as an outside force is applied, a
stationary
object starts to move.
Force is measured in
newton
(
N
).
A unit named in honor of Sir Isaac Newton.
Newton
A
net force
is the total amount of all the forces acting on an object.
Weight
is the measure of the force of
gravity
on a object.
Mass determines
the amount of a material in a object.
The use of force can have
positive
or
negative
effects.
