  He was a democrat and promised more direct action from federal government.

  Abandon Reaganomics- increased federal government spending, increased Taxes and reduced the national debt.

  Welfare reforms- In 1996 he introduced a minimum hourly wage. His health and security bill aimed to set up a system of universal health insurance was rejected by congress.
• Scandals:


  An investigation into the white water scandal of 1996 revealed that Clinton had been having an affair with Monica Lewinsky a former member of the white house staff. He was then threatened with impeachment.
