    • Seeks proper limits within which our passion can b reasonably directed toward authentic joy and peace
    • Demands that we develop the needed self-control for married as well single persons
  • How can we practice the values of Chastity?
    1. Pray daily for God' grace
    2. Have self-control
    3. Avoid temptations
    4. Practice self-denials to strengthen your will
    5. Practice moral virtues, especially acts of charity for others
    6. Strive to live all of God's commandments
    7. Discern before making any decision
    8. Receive frequently the Sacraments of reconciliation and Eucharist
    9. Channel your sexual energies towards a positive, affirmative service of love and fostering of life
  • Purity Calls for Self- Control
    • Pertains directly to all persons according to their different states in life
    • Chastity for the married in fidelity to their marriage vows, and to their respect and reverence for what is good and lovely in their marriage
    • Self-control is demanded by chastity of both single persons and married couples
    • These are indispensable virtues needed for the stability and well-being of single persons and of married couples in their conjugal love

    • Homosexual orientation and homosexual genital actions are different. Homosexual orientation is not a sin. While the Church acknowledges that the causes of homosexuality, be they genetic, hormonal, psychological, or social, are still unclear, the Church is very clear about the moral evaluation of homosexual genital acts (O'Neil and Black, 2006) as "intrinsically disordered."

    • The long process of education in chastity ought to be centered in the family. This is because chastity is for love
    • Filipinos in their family the youth, must be inspired and motivated to develop the needed Christian virtues of discipline of mind and the senses of prudence, moderation in recreation, sincerity of heart, humility, and especially "modesty"
  • God's Plan for Marriage and the Family
    • The love of the spouses and the begetting of children create among members of the same family
    • A man and woman united in marriage, together with their children, form a family
    • Human family and endowed it with its fundamental constitution
    • The relationships within the family bring an affirm feelings, affections, and interests, arising above all from the members' respect for one another
