• carbon dioxide + water -> glucose + oxygen
• light energy is absorbed by cholorphyll which is found in chloroplasts
• limiting factors of photosynthesis

  • temperature- the rate of photosynthesis increases as the temperature rises. photosynthesis is controlled by enzymes which become denatures if the temperature is too high.
  • light intensity- light provides energy for photosynthesis to take place. increasing the light intensity increases the rate of photosynthesis.
