  • numbers can also be rounded to a given amount of significant figures. the first significant figure of a number is the first digit which is not a zero when you read from the left. once you start counting significant figures, all beyond digits are included.
  • for multiplying factions, multiply numerators and denominators, so you multiply both. you multiply both and not one or the other.
  • to divide fractions, do the KFC method, keep, flip, change
  • reciprocal - basically flipping a fraction so 1/6 would become 6/1 which is 6. 6 is the reciprocal
  • to divide by a fraction, we multiply the peciprocal
