    • passive sentences are like when someone says "we were sitting" so using the verb in present tense in a past tense sentence
    • past progressive tense of "the boy thinks carefully and makes up his mind" would be "the boy was thinking carefully and was making up his mind
    • determiner - a word that tells us what a noun is referring to, e.g. a, an, the, a, some, many, all, all of, none of
    • after speech that ends in ?" we use a lowercase
    • adjectives / adverbs that end is -est are called superlative
    • a sentence with 2 main clauses is a compound sentence
    • passive voice is when the subject of the verb is not mentioned in the sentence
    • active voice is when the subject of the verb is the one performing the action, and the object is the one receiving the action
