    • Holy Week; Palm Sunday:
      • Jesus arrives in Jerusalem to celebrate Passover
      • He comes in to Jerusalem on a donkey to show he isn't boastful
      • When the locals saw that he arrived, they cheered and cut branches from the palm trees so the donkey would walk on them
      • Many exclaimed "Hosanna" which meant praise and joy
    • Holy Week; Monday - the cleansing of the Temple:
      • Jesus visited the Jerusalem temple and was shocked to see people trying to profit and sell goods in the place of worship
      • He got angry to the point he overturned a table and forced the sellers out
      • The Sadducees ran the Temple and was furious with what Jesus did. They worked with the Pharisees and planned to get rid of Jesus.
    • Holy Week; Tuesday - preaching in the Temple:
      • Jesus came back to the Temple and started preaching
      • The Pharisees were also in the Temple and asked Jesus difficult questions to get him in trouble
      • Jesus answered questions wisely by knowing Roman law
    • Holy Week; Spy Wednesday:
      • Jesus's disciple Judas made a deal with authorities to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver
    • Holy Week; Holy Thursday - the Last Supper:
      • Jesus celebrated Passover on Thursday with disciples
      • During the meal, Jesus said one of his disciples would betray him and that Peter would deny knowing him three times
      • He told everyone he is the Lamb of God and will sacrifice his life to save everyone
      • He broke the bread and poured the wine and said it is his body and blood
      • After Passover, Jesus and the disciples went to Gethsemane to pray. His disciples fell asleep. Jesus was scared and asked God to spare him.
      • Judas kissed Jesus and the authorities arrested him
    • Holy Week; Good Friday:
      • The Sanhedrin; the religious trial. The Roman Court; the legal trial.
      • The Sanhedrin accused him of blasphemy and wanted him killed so they took him to the Roman Court
      • Peter denied knowing Jesus three times, as predicted
      • The Roman Court asked the crowd to release Jesus or Barabbas, crowd voted for Barabbas
      • Pilate accused Jesus of treason and sent Jesus for crucifixion
      • He walked with the cross on his back through the hill of Calvary, where he would be crucified
      • Simon of Cyrene helped Jesus carry the cross
      • He drank vinegar from a sponge and died at three o'clock
