Define mental disorder: 
Involves a combination of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours which are usually associated with personal distress. This can impair the ability to function effectively in everyday life.
Mental disorders: 
Are commonly used in relation to a clinically diagnosable disorder involving mental health.
D-D-Definition:
Deviant - Distressing - Dysfunctional
D-D-Definition: deviant
actions and reactions are atypical of the person and inappropriate within their culture.
D-D-Definition: distressing
causes deep personal distress or disability in the functioning of everyday life.
D-D-Definition: dysfunctional
there is clinically diagnosable dysfunction in thoughts, feelings, or behaviour.
