      Cardiac arrest means the heart has stopped pumping blood around the body
    • What does the term Asystole mean?
      It means the heart has completely stopped
    • What is ventricular fibrillation?
      This is where the heart is twitching in irregular and ineffective ways
    • What are symptoms of cardiac arrest?
      • Rapid loss of consciousness if heart isn’t started quickly
      • Short seizure like movements can occur at the start of cardiac arrests
    • What should you be aware of during a cardiac arrest?
      You should be aware when the casualty presents seizures you should reassess their breathing if breathing is absent or abnormal start CPR
