    • Problems with using only one indicator is that is doesn't provide enough information on a persons quality of life.
      Example would be being well fed doesn't equal how well educated they are
    • Explain how literacy rates can show the level of development in a country?
      In developing country the rates will be lower than a developed country. This would show not many people know how to read and write and that there is little schools
    • Explain how life expectancy can show the level of development in a country?
      In developed countries the rates would be higher than developed countries. This shows that developed countries have access to better healthcare and have enough food and water to offer
    • Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is the amount of money a country makes in a year
    • In a developed country, people tend to work in industries like education, IT, and admin or customer services, which are well paid and create a richer economy.
    • In a developing country, people tend to work in primary or secondary industries like mining or farming.
    • The number of people per doctor provides information on the healthcare system in the country and the amount of people to one doctor.
    • If the number of people per doctor is low, it indicates a good healthcare system with more doctors available to help people.
    • The percentage of people that can read and write gives information on the education in a country.
    • If the percentage of people that can read or write is low, it indicates a poor education system and lacking schools and teachers, indicating the country lacks funding to provide schools and education.
    • The deaths per 1,000 people per year provide information of the deaths and indicate the country has good access to healthcare and medicine if the number is low.
    • The percentage of people in agriculture gives information of people in farming and indicates a low figure shows that people work in other services typical in developed countries like services sector, IT or healthcare.
    • Higher paid job opportunities are typically found in developed countries.
    • The births per 1,000 people provide information on family planning and access to contraception, with a high figure indicating a lack of family planning and access to contraception.
    • A low births per 1,000 people figure indicates that woman are more career focused in the country.
    • Number of births per 1,000 woman per year is a development indicator that shows the level of development in a country.
    • In a developing country like Mozambique, high birth rates are due to a lack of access to contraception.
    • In a developed country like the United States, more women are career focused, leading to a low birth rate.
    • Average income per person is a development indicator that shows the standard of living in a country.
    • In a developed country like the United States, the income will be high due to access to job opportunities like Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

    • The dessert is sparse as the climate cause there to be little rain meaning there is no way to plant crops.
    • The mountains are sparse as mountain ranges are so high so harder to build houses also very cold and thin soils.
    • Capital cities are dense because there is more roads and airports to give people access into the place also the employment being high as there is more job opportunities
    • Cities- low land meaning easy to build houses on.
