3. The Nervous System

• Nervous System - System that allows communication that allows the body to receive, interpret and respond to information/stimuli so that we can respond to external and internal changes
• The Nervous System is divided into the Central and Peripheral Nervous Systems
• The Central Nervous includes the Brain and the Spinal Cord
• The Peripheral Nervous System is divided into the Somatic and Autonomic Nervous Systems
• The Autonomic Nervous System is divided into the Sympathetic, Parasympathetic and Enteric Nervous Systems
