LAS 9 - Ezekiel's Message

• Ezekiel's mission was to strenghten the Israelites in exile and keep them from losing hope.
• Ezekiel assures the Israelites of God's presence. He had a vision of wheels with eyes that could move in any direction and see anything they wanted
• Ezekiel reminds the Israelites to take responsibility for their sins.
• The israelites had always believed that their suffering was due to the sins of their forefathers.
• Ezekiel stressed to the people that they should not blame their fate on the sins of theri ancestors
• God wanted each of His people to learn to be responsible for his or her own sins
• Ezekiel reminded the Israelites to stop being disobedient and sinful. That their future could be very different from their troubled past if they would live a more virtuous life.
• The phrase "between one sheep and another" may considered a concrete application of the principle of individual responsibility
• As Christians, we believe that it is the Holy Spirit whoe renews our spirit and inspires us to do good things
