    The information transmitted should be accurate - correct and true.
  • Complete
    The information must be complete with no key facts missing.
  • Timely
    The timing of the message is important - it must be delivered on time and be kept up-to-date.
  • Relevant
    The information should be fit for purpose - it should meet the needs of the audience and if it is not required it shouldn't be included.
  • Cost-Effective
    Communication takes time and money, information should be gathered and collated for deliver and the cost of communicating should not be more than the benefit to the organisation it brings.
  • Meaningful
    The information should be easy to understand and communicated in an appropriate manner for the audience to ensure it is useful and clear.
