Smoking - The drug is inhaled, goes to the lungs and is then rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream.
Snorting - Snorted chemicals will enter the bloodstream through the mucus membrane in the nose.
Oral Route - Swallowing the drugs allows the drugs to move onto the stomach where they are absorbed by the stomach lining and then enter the bloodstream
Injection - Injecting or putting fluid into the body, usually with a syringe and a hollow needle which is pierced through the skin to a sufficient depth for the drugs to be administered into the body
Suppositories - Drugs is absorbed through the mucus membrane in the rectum.
