      A type of social influence where an individual changes their behavior or opinions to align with a group or societal norm
    • Compliance conformity
      Going along with others only in public but not changing your personal opinion, only superficial, behavior stops when group pressure does
    • Identification Conformity
      conforming as being apart of that group is something you value by publicly changing your opinions.
    • Internalization Conformity
      Genuinely accepting group norms by permanently changing views without other group members.
    • Normative Social Influnce
      When someone conforms because they want to be accepted and fit in, more likely because they are in a group and they are more compliance due to peer pressure
    • Informational social influence
      Conforming because they want to be right when they feel unsure or are in a ambiguous situation.
