Symptoms: backpain due to muscles trying to conform to spinalcurving, rib or shoulder blade hump, and uneven shoulders and hips.
Diagnosis: screening is now mandated by law in some states. Screening is observing the spine while the individual bends forward. The spine curves to the side and the scapula shifts up if someone has scoliosis.
Treatment: aimed at preventing worsening and often includes braces
Prevention: no prevention.
Osteoporosis: metabolic bone disease that causes a porosity or swiss-cheese appearance of the bone that leads to a decrease in bone mass.
