  • Aorta
    Main artery in the human body, originating from the left ventricle of the heart. Has three main sections: Ascending aorta, aortic arch and descending aorta.
  • Brachiocephalic Trunk

    Arises from the aortic arch and then divides into the right common carotid artery and right subclavian artery.
  • Left and right common carotid arteries.
    Supply oxygenated blood to the head.
  • Left and right subclavian arteries
    Supply oxygenated blood to the arms and upper torso.
  • Coeliac Trunk
    Arises from the abdominal aorta and supplies oxygenated blood to the liver, spleen and stomach.
  • Superior mesenteric artery.
    arises from the abdominal aorta and supplies oxygenated blood to the small intestine and parts of the large intestine.
  • Interior mesenteric artery
    arises from the abdominal and supplies oxygenated blood to the large intestine and rectum.
  • Left and right common iliac arteries

    terminal branches of the abdominal aorta that supplies oxygenated blood to the lower limbs and pelvic organs.
  • Anterior interventricular artery
    Large coronary artery that supplies oxygenated blood to the anterior aspect of the heart.
  • Left and right brachial arteries
    Continuation of the axillary arteries on the ventral aspect of the arms to the burial fossae of the elbows. The pulse of brachial arteries is palpable on the anterior aspect of the elbows.
  • Left and right femoral arteries
    The second largest arteries in the body and is a continuation of the external iliac artery. Main supply of oxygenated blood to the lower limb.
