Evaluation

• MSM says that we use rehearsal to transfer information from STM to LTM. There are some things that we remember that we do not rehearse. So therefore, a strength of the working memory model is that it explains how we process and transfer visual and episodic information.
• Limitations:

  • Existence of the C.E is not falsifiable.
  • C.E may be made up of multiple, independent cognitve processes
  • Evidence relies on lab studies, so may not generalise.
