• Later that night Blanche and Mitch return from an amusement park and Mitch is afraid that he has disappointed Blanche
• Blanche invites Mitch in, who is self-conscious and gloomy and speaks about her living with Stanley
• Blanche tells him the story of her late husband, who shot himself, and Mitch kisses Blanche.
