Scene 8

• The birthday dinner commences and is extremely awkward.
• Stella says that Stanley is like a pig, and he furiously throws a plate to the ground and violently grabs her
• after Blanche questions Stella about what happened while she was in the bath, they rejoin at the table.
• Stanley gives Blanche the bus ticket as a present, mortified, Blanche runs to the toilet and is sick
• the scene ends with Stella goes into Labour and asking to be taken to the hospital.
